Uncover the underlying cause of joint discomfort before it becomes a serious issue!

Joint discomfort can stem from a variety of sources, yet the outcome remains consistent: discomfort, diminished quality of life, and a tendency towards a sedentary lifestyle, ultimately impacting longevity.

Many individuals turn to painkillers to alleviate joint discomfort, unaware of the potential side effects that come with long-term use. This reliance on medication may indicate a deeper issue that requires proper attention and resolution.

While some causes of joint pain may be challenging to pinpoint without a thorough examination, laboratory tests, and imaging, there are valuable insights and clinical pearls that can aid in unraveling the underlying source of joint discomfort.

DISCOVER THE KEY STEPS TO IDENTIFY TRIGGERS OF JOINT PAIN, GOUT, AND ARTHRITIS

1. Get rid of inflammatory foods. There are many foods that are known to increase joint pain. For example, if someone is celiac or gluten sensitive, then their joint pain may be triggered by the chronic inflammation that eating gluten creates. For these people avoiding gluten will decrease inflammation, autoimmune joint diseases, and decrease joint pain. Screening for the celiac gene can be a valuable tool for diagnosing gluten-related health issues.

Additionally, other common food triggers for joint pain include corn, soy, dairy, sugar, and nightshade vegetables. If you are following a gluten-free diet but still experiencing symptoms, I recommend checking out my blog post on this topic for further insights.

2.  Monitor your lab results diligently. Keep a close eye on levels of ferritin, iron, uric acid, CRP, ESR, and homocysteine, as these markers can indicate inflammation that may worsen joint pain. Unfortunately, many healthcare providers do not routinely test for these markers. If you are dealing with persistent joint discomfort, it's crucial to request these specific labs in addition to screening for rheumatoid factor antibodies and ANA antibodies. Comprehensive lab work plays a vital role in identifying and diagnosing autoimmune arthritis conditions. Dr. Johnson can help you with ordering in-depth laboratory testing.

3. Evaluate Your Activity Level. Keep in mind that movement is essential for joint health, especially when dealing with age-related arthritis like osteoarthritis. Keeping your joints active helps to prevent stiffness and maintain lubrication. If movement exacerbates your joint pain, consider visiting a chiropractor for an adjustment. A skilled chiropractor can help identify and address any underlying issues contributing to your discomfort.

Ensure you incorporate stretching, walking, weight training, and cardio into your routine consistently. If severe joint pain hinders your ability to engage in traditional exercise, opt for low-impact activities like swimming or using an elliptical machine to keep your body moving and maintain joint health.

BEWARE OF THE IRON Curse

The Iron Curse can destroy your joints along with your heart, liver, pancreas, brain and hormones.

  • 87% of people with hemochromatosis experience arthritis or joint pain. 5
  • Some studies have shown that high iron can increase the risk for osteoarthritis. 6
  • Hemochromatosis can mimic rheumatoid arthritis in how it presents. 86
  • Pseudogout—This is another form of arthritis that is associated with hemochromatosis, and is characterized by sudden, painful swelling in one or more of your joints. These episodes can last for days or weeks. The most affected joint is the knee. If you have high iron, then the cause of your joint pain may be from the iron leading to inflammation and pain in your joints.
  • Gout— Hemochromatosis, particularly high ferritin that is caused by high iron, can lead to an increase in uric acid, which can increase the risk for gout flare ups. 157,158 In addition to curcumin, you can also look at tart cherries, quercetin, a low meat and shellfish diet to decrease uric acid and gout flares.

DECREASE JOINT DISCOMFORT, ALLEVIATE INFLAMMATION, AND Regulate IRON LEVELS.

Inflam-Redux Turmero stands out as a potent curcumin extract that not only targets inflammation throughout the body but also alleviates oxidative stress, safeguards vital organs like the liver, brain, and heart, eases joint discomfort, and exhibits anti-cancer properties. With its unique ability to bind to and eliminate excess iron in the body, curcumin becomes indispensable for individuals dealing with high iron levels, inflammation, or those at a heightened genetic risk of hemochromatosis development.

Curcumin has demonstrated the remarkable ability to reduce ferritin levels, combat inflammation, and mitigate liver damage. This dual action not only safeguards the entire body but specifically shields the liver from the detrimental effects of excess iron accumulation. 25

Curcumin effectively reduces the buildup of Alzheimer's plaques, specifically amyloid beta, in the brain, enhancing memory in Alzheimer's patients. Furthermore, it has demonstrated the ability to boost levels of the essential brain health molecule, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), contributing to overall cognitive function and well-being..

Curcumin is also effective in reducing iron accumulation and oxidative stress in the liver, bones, and spleen, providing comprehensive protection and support for overall health. 458

Teaming up with Vitamin E, curcumin has proven effective in reducing liver damage and combating non-alcoholic liver disease. 577.

By taking curcumin regularly, one can lower both inflammation and iron levels.

Safeguard Your Gut Against Medications that Harm It!

Taking any of the medications listed below puts you at a heightened risk of experiencing a gastrointestinal bleed. NSAIDs and corticosteroids have the potential to thin the stomach lining, significantly increasing the likelihood of a severe G.I. bleed. It's not uncommon for individuals to develop anemia as a result of such gastrointestinal bleeds.

I highly recommend taking G.I. complete to support a healthy gut. G.I. complete is helpful everyday, but is crucial while taking drugs that can cause a G.I. bleed, or while having other gastric issues.
