2. Monitor your lab results diligently. Keep a close eye on levels of ferritin, iron, uric acid, CRP, ESR, and homocysteine, as these markers can indicate inflammation that may worsen joint pain. Unfortunately, many healthcare providers do not routinely test for these markers. If you are dealing with persistent joint discomfort, it's crucial to request these specific labs in addition to screening for rheumatoid factor antibodies and ANA antibodies.
