Options In Peripheral Neuropathy Treatment

Most Options for Peripheral Neuropathy Treatment Include Prescription Medication, However Effective Drug-Free Options Are Available

Many neuropathy patients take the traditional medical route of attempting to treat the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy with powerful drugs. The irony is many medications that are prescribed for the treatment of other health challenges can bring about peripheral neuropathy by causing nerve damage.

Since medications don't help with the underlying causative factor(s) for neuropathy nerve damage, one of the most dreaded and dangerous side effects of peripheral neuropathy often occurs. What is this most dangerous neuropathy symptom? In my opinion it is the loss of balance due to subtle or significant loss of sensation in the feet. The loss of balance can lead to falls and even death!

Drugs that are known to cause or contribute to neuropathy include:

  • anti-convulsants (drugs used to treat seizures)
  • drugs to fight bacterial infections
  • some blood pressure medications
  • medications used to treat cancer
  • drugs used to lower cholesterol (statins)

I suggest you familiarize yourself with a very detailed report by Dr. Louis H. Weimer, MD in which he explains in detail what classes of drugs cause or are suspected to cause neuropathy. In his report, he provides a comprehensive list of medications, some of which you may be taking.

In case you were wondering what the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy can include, I've compiled a list of the most common:

  • tingling in hands or feet
  • a feeling like you are wearing a tight glove or sock
  • sharp, stabbing pains
  • numbness in hands or feet
  • weak, heavy-feeling arms and legs (sometimes it may feel like your legs or arms “lock” in place)
  • regularly dropping things from your hands
  • a buzzing or shocking sensation
  • thinning of the skin
  • a drop in blood pressure
  • sexual dysfunction, especially in men
  • constipation
  • digestion difficulties
  • diarrhea
  • excessive sweating
  • balance problems
  • trouble sleeping due to pain

Options In Peripheral Neuropathy Treatment

There are other effective, clinically proven non-drug options for peripheral neuropathy available

"It has been one month of Johnson Neuro-Metabolic Therapy and I have seen improvement in the healing of my Peripheral Neuropathy. The numbness, tingling and pain have improved greatly. The Johnson Brain-Based Therapy has given me more focus, less anxiety and depression and my ocular migraines have been much less. I feel that my health has been 25% better because of the therapy I have received."          - JoAnn Stange

Many doctors around the country and myself are finding that patients who consult us for peripheral neuropathy are getting blessed relief when other methods have failed. Typically the most effective approaches include a multi-modal care program that effectively attacks the underlying factors causing or contributing to painful neuropathy.

I recently made a video explaining my unique multi-modal approach, which you can watch by clicking on the image below.

Three Keys To Defeating Peripheral Neuropathy Video

My innovative breakthrough peripheral neuropathy care program takes a unique, multi-modal approach to healing. The therapy involves improving blood flow using NASA-developed technology, along with a unique LASER, specific frequencies of vibration and important nutritional interventions. The methodology also employs a process to stimulate small fiber nerve growth and modulate inflammation while at the same time reducing pain and other abnormal symptoms. Additionally, the approach strives to reduce brain-related dysfunction that leads to pain.

In essence, my neuropathy protocol relies on what is known as functional medicine. This type of healing approach centers on caring for the entire individual—addressing causes of bodily symptoms, imbalances and dysfunctions—rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all, symptom-treatment-only approach as is common in the medical community. Consequently, the patient has a much higher chance of resolving their challenges with peripheral neuropathy and other health issues.

In conclusion, medications while useful at times, can do nothing in the long run to resolve the underlying factors leading to improper body function. I attack the cause(s) of peripheral neuropathy from every angle, including every critical element necessary to promote healing of the nerves and blood vessels and maximum symptom relief. The success of our neuropathy care program is attributed to my unwillingness to cut corners, leveraging the latest technological advances, and developing proprietary scientific protocols that provide a predictable result. To learn more, please see my neuropathy challenges and treatment page on my website and watch the video linked above. You will be enlightened and pleased to know that you may be able to finally reclaim your life from peripheral neuropathy, if you qualify for my care program.
